Dear All,
Its happen to me yesterday.
My normal Dry weight is 94 kg, as usual after dialysis it read between 93.2 kg to 94.5 upon depend of my water volume intake.
Yesterday I wrongly calculated, suppose to remove only 2.5kg but requested for 3.5 kg. After dialysis on weighing machine reads 92.5 kg, my target is 93.5 kg. first time ever below my dry weight diff of 2.5 kg.
At the beginning I feel ok, but then after 1 hour, I feel very tired. My BP 130/80 and the pulse is 116. Is this a normal syndrom. Kindly assist and feedback. Regards. :shy;

Your blood pressure is good but your pulse is high (116).
It is good to challenge your dry weight once in a while. But a whole kilo is too much. I know you didn't mean to challenge your dry weight at all, but next time try going .5 below what you usually come off at.
If your normal dry weight is 94 then why are you coming off at 93.2? If you come off at 93.2 and feel fine then your new dry weight should be 93.2. Otherwise you are coming off at 94 and have .8 of fluid that your heart has to pump around.
Coming off at 92.5.... you didn't cramp? You just felt tired. That is normal. I'm thinking your dry weight should be around 93.
My opinion.

yep. if you could tollerate going a kilo under then sounds like you were a bit wet to begin with. I would try and take your dry weight down a bit next time, say by 0.5 and see how you go. Since your BP didn't go down and you didn't crash or cramp it's a fair indication you probably still have some fluid to take off/and or you've lost some body weight (both good things :)). Plus you can enjoy an extra drink!!! :)

Thanks for the advise.
Look like a good advise, why not take a challenge. Today after dialysis 93.1 - still manage and steady. Coming wednesday will maintain to 93... then try to bring my dry to 92.... :clap;

I wouldn't go too fast or too far with the dry weight changing - 93.1 to 93 is fine, but I wouldn't go to 92 in one go.
It might be an idea to ask the nurses to do a BVM (Blood Volume Monitoring) on you to check how you are refilling - it will give an idea of how "wet" you are. You could also ask them to use the special scales(I will presume they have some) to work out the % of water in your body - it will help you get a better idea of what the proper dry weight should be.
