Well, it seemed like forever, but yesterday, I finally got my heart catheterization done. Even though I was pretty out of it at the end(sedation), I did hear the doctor say that for someone diabetic, with high b.p., and on dialysis, my coronary arteries were in great shape. He may have even said the best he's ever seen. At least I think that's what he said.
So, that means all I have to do for my "physical tests" is the "wonderful" colonoscopy, which I hope to get done by end of June.
After that, send tests off for final evals. and committees and then start waiting. Although I am already on one of the waiting lists--I didn't have to get all the tests done before going on that list. I've been building "waiting credit" with them since last September.
The only other thing left to do is fix my left arm. The fistula has really low flows, and my vascular surgeon and I have decided to put in a loop graft. Not the solution I wanted, but something needed to be done, and I really want to get rid of my tunneled catheter, which was put in at the end of March. It would have been done two weeks ago, but my platelets were down to 43 thousand(normal is about 150 thousand), and bleeding control was a concern.
So, it's been a while since I have been by, and I thought I would let you know what was going on.
Everyone have a great weekend!
Jon

Hurry up and wait, huh? Sort of the way the list goes for everyone, I think. Glad your test had good results!

Jon, I hated the heart cath. Once I had that I never peed again. The bad part about waiting is if a year goes by they want many of these test again to keep current. So, you might ask about that. What yearly tests will I have to have?
Good luck. :clap;

I hope your other test results are good! :2thumbsup;

The only thing my transplant evaluation team said was that I had to get a colonoscopy within the
next year to stay on the list. I stalled and stalled, but finally got one this April. This was the cleanest
one I've ever had, no polyps, and I don't have to come back for five years. You do have to go
through a lot of tests, but it's worth it.

:2thumbsup; Hope all goes well for you !
