My is Keith L. Woolford, and I'm a dialysis patient at a FMC unit in Delawere and I'm trying to start some support groups in my unit as well in other units in the state of Delawere. The social worker in my unit told me that she wanted me to concentrate on starting the men's group First because alot of patients have this problem and they would rather talk to another patient than someone that is employee. As far i go i still get an erection so don't think I'm some kind of a freak or something.I'm just looking for some insight on the subject.

Hi Keith, and welcome to IHD.com. It would help if you would go to Introduce Yourself first. It just helps in the future so we have a reference point. This site is growing so fast it is hard to keep track of who is who. It is nice to go to "Introductions" and reread posts there. Anyway, this is a good place to get feedback and ideas. Good luck, and Keep UP the good work. (no pun intended)

As for me I have been a patient for 13 years and have not had any problems. And the other patients that I have talked to the majority have no problems either. Now is that just ego talking? who knows. I do know however that I had a problem for about a couple of weeks but it was unrelated to dialysis.

Just wanted to point out, even if you weren't able to at all, that would not make you or anyone else in that situation a freak.
