As I was on dialysis today the power went out after 90 minutes. Which means for me it is time to do the two step boogie! After being given my options and after one second of careful consideration I decided to get myself an extra large coffee and two Boston cream donuts. I then went home too enjoy the rest of my day!
The nurse told me she was looking at me when the power went out and that she had never seen a bigger smile!
The only drawback was in my exuberance to get out of there I forgot my radio and earplugs. Hopefully someone picked it up and put it away.
I hope everyone is having a good day! :beer1;

I think you made the best decision under those conditions. :bow;
-
Some days just call for those kinds of decisions. :yahoo;

It is a pain in the butt when the power goes out and you are on the machine. I can imagine your smile! :clap;.

You got guilt-free bonus time!! Good for you!!! :yahoo;

There's nothing as good as getting off early when it's not your fault! Great day! Sorry you left your radio tho. Every time I leave something they save it for me. . . But anyway, Good for you! I asked if the power went out what would we do / and the said back-up generator. I'm sure it would be a little bump anyway, but we can always hope! Here in Albuquerque, We haven't had a thunderstorm in I don't know how long. We got a new roof in Mar. and we've been waiting for it to really rain (not just sprinkle) for about 8 weeks, and a thunderstorm at this time of year is the only way the power ever goes out. Oh well. . .

I asked the same question about power. My center is too large for a generator. Last year Ike knocked out the power for days (weeks in some instances). I was told that Whole Food provided them with a huge generator (free) so they were able to take in Galveston people and all of Houston without generators. They cut down on hours so they could accomodate everyone. I'm sure lots of people just did without. Scary huh?

it was your lucky day -- not the loss of electricity but the coffee and the Boston creme donuts -
I never heard of them but anything with creme is a plus in my book
some people have all the lucky :thumbup;

Oh Twirl... Dunkins have them. So did Krispy Kreme... alas!

Boston creme donuts, oh so yummy :2thumbsup;

Were they able to get back the blood in the tubes and machine? You sound like a kid who just got
a "snow day" off from school. I wouldn't know for sure growing up in Southern California.
