Here's a link to a contest my wife entered for her and her mom.
Candice had been on PD for about six months, starting last October. Eveerything was looking god until about a month ago she got a tunnel infection. We decided to have the PD cath removed She had a perma-cath placed in her sternum. Looked good for about a week. Then, the same week her mom was out to do some testing for the transplant, Candice got severe chest pain and was hospitalized for about five days. They never got a really good diagnosis, but the pain has gone away and we're now back to doing in-center hemo three days a week, and counting down the days until the transplant (scheduled for May 20). Just keeping our fingers crossed that nothing else comes up!
