Title: My Mom Got The Call

This afternoon, maybe even right now, my mom is getting a new kidney!  She is at Vanderbuilt and the surgery was supposed to take place  this afternoon or early evening.  I'd liek to go see her but not sure how to manage my manual PD exchanges.  She's about 3 hours from me.

If you are driving take the bags with you. The hospital will be able to provide a room for you to do the exchanges. Make up a travel box with all you need. I have done manual exchanges in the strangest of places!!

If you are flying, call your supply company and they will be able to deliver the supplies to where you are staying.

My mom got the kidney on Friday night and came home Monday afternoon.  She is doing very well.

Wonderful news!  I am sure it has been hard for you not to be there.  You need to take care of yourself during this too.   Lots of prayers for your Mom's continued recovery.
