My name is Bev and my husband (53 yo) is facing dialysis. After maintaining a GFR rate of about mid 30s for about 10 years, it dropped suddenly to 15 his last set of blood tests before seeing his specialist. That was two months ago and we've been going to all sorts of diet seminars, treatment option seminars, meetings with nurses, social workers, dieticians.
I'll probably lurk for a while but I'm very glad I found this board.
