Hi there, My name is Kelly and I have been on Pd for about 4 Months now. Iam waiting a for a kidney/pancreas transplant...and really hope that it is soon. I initially struggled with dialysis but this was mainly as I had a real aversion to a tube sticking out of my body. Iam sort of getting used to it now but this is mainly because I have had to make room for it by virtually stopping all other aspects of my life ! I find I have no energy most of the time but do have an occasional good day. I am a positive person by nature and have a very patient boyfriend ha ha..He has to be! I have a horse which is one of the main things that has kept me going through all the dross that comes with Dialysis but I have had to hand over most of his care to my friend ..I just pick up his bills. Im 36 years old. Have had a lot of wound infections boo hoo. I managed to tear the wound early on and its never been right since .! Nice to have finally found a sight to talk to others

Hi, Kelly; welcome aboard.  I'm also a fellow PDer (temporarily on hemo due to removal of an infected abdominal hernia), and I can't wait to get back to PD.  There's tons of good information here and even waterproof shoulders to cry on!  Glad you're here.

Hi Kelly,
Yeah those wound not healing right is a pain. I am all to familiar with that and diabetes complications. Hope you get your k/p tx soon and feel a difference right away. There are a couple of us on here who have had a k/p transplant and some waiting also.
