updated 2:46 p.m. PT, Thurs., Feb. 5, 2009
In these tough economic times, when everything costs an arm and a leg, it may come as no surprise that a San Diego man is, allegedly, selling a kidney for $100,000.
In a posting on Craigslist.org, Monday afternoon the “22 y/o white male, 170 lbs PERFECTLY HEALTHY!! Non-drinker” offered the organ.
“Blood type is O positive. I am the most common blood type. Willing to let my kidney for a donation of $100,000 obo plus any medical expenses,” said the poster.
The posting was still up at at least 6 p.m. Monday at http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/for/1018414374.html.
The young man notes that he would “Would like to sell it to someone younger preferably. Would love to give someone extra life!!”
The posting was removed as of 8:30 am, PST. Craiglist’s list of prohibited or restricted items specifically bans “blood, bodily fluids or body parts.”

I don't know about other sites, but seems Craigslist is always in the news about something. Seems they need a better monitoring system. They are known in the news to have prostitution going on, sellingof abnormal things, this, and a few others. I have never ben there, but with all the bad press about the site, I don't have much curiosity to look.
Craigslist neds a image makeover and clean up their site it seems.
