hello- My Mother, 70 just started hemodysis 3x per week in center.  I'm her part-time care giver along with Dad.

Hi and welcome to IHD.  Tell us a little more.  Where are you from and how long has your Mom been sick?  Do you have your own family as well as taking care of Mom?

Welcome to the site.  My mother was also a dialysis patient, and she started in 2001 when she was 63, so I was in a similar situation as yourself.   You'll find this site so helpful, so keep visiting and posting.

 :welcomesign;   And thank you for being there for your Mom.  As a Mom, I will say it is so hard to give up being the one to take care of everyone and suddenly need help from others.  I am sure your Mom is grateful for your support.   I hope you find good information here and great support.  Looking forward to learning more about you and your Mom.    :grouphug;

Hello I am also the kid of a new patient. The only difference is I am a 24/7 caregiver. At this time I am just trying to figure out how we are going to do this. I am sure you know what I mean. Mom was in the hospital for the last month so we are just happy to be home. I will be watching for your posts so we can learn together.
