I have had blood pressure of 95/54 I didnt feel good, I got dizzy when I stood up. I thought having ckd you had to worry about high blood pressure I havent been able to get a hold of neph. office is closed for last 3 days. Is it very dangerous when low, I know when high you can stroke out.?

Mine was similar for several days last week. Try taking in a little salt----I know that is against what you have been told. But it will help raise the numbers. I had a little chicken broth and a few crackers. Does you neph have anyone on duty to answer questions? Let us know what you find out.

You may need to go off some of your BP medications if you are on any.

This kind of mild hypotension isn't likely to cause you major health problems. (Keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't go much lower though.) You're feeling dizzy because the low blood pressure results in less blood carrying oxygen up to your brain.
So a simple solution is: Lie down on your back and raise your legs above your head. The blood will come rushing back to your head. Other tips: Avoid sudden movements when you get up from a lying or sitting position--when you awake in the morning, get out of bed VERY SLOWLY. And it goes without saying that if you're feeling dizzy, don't drive a car.

I forgot also my legs feel like they wont hold me up very weak. I think maybe salt might help bc I dont take in any salt hardly at all. I am very conseous ( cant spell good on that one) of salt.l I made a stew today and did very goood I was actually told it was good. I used only a small amount of tomatoe juice, that was all i fudged on. I leached potatoes and rinsed veg that came out of cans. only 3. I oly take 5 mg of lisinopril and thats help for my kidneys.I dont have high bp.

Fluids might help. Gatorade seemed to help Jenna. Dehydration is one cause of low BP.
Are you currently taking any other BP meds or beta-blockers, ace-inhibitors, diruetics, depression medications or narcotics?
Some combinations or changes in meds can cause lower BP.
I would definitely make contact with your doctor.
Hope you're feeling better soon!

becauseril is used to lower your blood pressure. when it was first proscribed we had to cut it in half becuase it made me extremely sleepy. it doesn't do anything for the kidneys. as my weight dropped that was the first medication the had me stop using, because again i was taking so much it made me extremely dizzy. if your blood pressure doesn't usually run to high 5mg lisonopril might just be too much. talk to the doctor who prescribed it and let him know it is making you dizzy and apprears to be causing your pressure to be very low.

I was thinking about dehydration also, if you're not on any BP meds.

When I was on the PD cycler, I frequently had that type of reading as the machine literally sucks the fluid off you. In addition to a little more salt, make sure you're drinking enough.
