Good news, bad news, mediocre news. Let's see, I saw my neph today and she decided that since I had been attacked by pseudomonas, she wants me to have another couple of weeks to "make sure" I'm safe to go back to PD, so she won't send me back to the surgeon until she rounds at my center, around mid February. She also increased my dialysis to 4 hours (could be worse, could be 4 days!). On the brighter side, I received a letter from UCLA today and my initial orientation interview is set for March 24. Slowly I sneak back towards "near perfect" health! Oh, yeah, I actually tried the chat room a few days ago. Apologies to those who were in it when my friend called in a crisis, and I just sneaked out without saying good bye. When a friend in crisis calls ya just gotta dust off your waterproof shoulders and let them do their thing, right?!?

Sorry to hear about the delay Peleroja. Are they going to put the tube in the same place as before. I had mine put in the other side 4 days after they took the infected one out. Up and running well. Hope you get your transplant, but in the meantime, I will keep my fingers crossed for your return to PD.

I'm not sure if they will put the catheter in the same place or not, Red. I'd prefer another pre-sternal catheter, just cuz it's what I'm used to for 5 years. The surgeon will tell me what's what. I'll keep you posted.
