I found a "kidney atlas" online today that looks useful. I haven't seen it before, but maybe the link has already been posted here at IHD.
http://www.kidneyatlas.org/
If you go to that site, they will only let you have bits and pieces of it at a time.
If, however, you type the following as a search term in Google:
http://www.kidneyatlas.org/book5 (even though it is coming up as a link, don't do it that way. Cut it and paste it into a Google search box or other search engine on your web browser)
up comes links to some of the full pdf chapters of the book. (Book 1 will come up if you use book1 instead of book5 in the url, and so on for Books 2-4)
For example, these two chapters on dialysis look useful:
http://www.kidneyatlas.org/book5/adk5-01.ccc.QXD.pdf (Principles of Dialysis)
http://www.kidneyatlas.org/book5/adk5-03.ccc.QXD.pdf (High efficiency and high flux hemodialysis)
as does the one on transplantation, which I already posted on another thread.

:cuddle; Thanks pelagia. A copy of the transplant part is going to a doctors appointment with us on the 26th. Especially the GI portion, as I have lots of additional questions now. Thanks again. Kathy

This is great! I saved 23 chapters to my laptop for some light reading! ::) Thanks!

I saved it to my favorites section so I can pass it on later to someone.

It is good information. I read the one on Potassium and have NO idea what it said. Nice pictures....
