Title: Merry Christmas to all of you
Post by: bioya on December 22, 2008, 11:38:49 PM
Every day I wake up I am thankful for being at least somewhat healthy. The lives that dialysis patients lead are to say the least, rough. I am in awe of the courage and humor that dialysis patients show every day. Your daily struggles make all of you role models for the rest of us. I pray for you and for your families and hope that the upcoming year brings you as much joy and satisfaction that it possibly can.
Please know that many of us that have had worked with and for dialysis patients are better people and better care-takers because we have known for you. We are honored to have been allowed  to take care of you. God Bless all of you.

What do you mean, my life is rough? My life isn't rough, it's the dialysis part that sucks!!! And the only thing the staff at my center does is put in my needles and prime my machine, program in the numbers and such and get it going. I do the rest myself. There is no courage or humor to what I do, just a will to get a new kidney I guess. Soon enough I will be out of there when I get transplanted. And I am no one's role model, I just do what I have to do in this world to be compliant until I get my transplant, after all what use is it to say I hate D if I know that if I do not make it there 2X a week,, I will be spending my life in a place I hate, instead of only a few years which would be far worse.

But Happy Yule to you bioya, and I'm glad you were one of the few who gave a rat's  :sir ken; , not too many do, for them it's all about the $$$ it seems. I see that kind 2X a week.
