Title: I need meal ideas that can be prepared and cooked quickly and suit my diet
Post by: KATIEJAYNE2003 on September 22, 2008, 01:57:29 AM
Hi there, i have 2 jobs 1 full time and 1 part time, also the full time job is shift work. because of this i find it very difficult to make/find meals that suit my low pottasium diet. HELP!!!!! I love pasta and tuna, and also mayonaise, but my downfall (even though they are prepared properly) are potatos, in any shape or form, anything savoury in fact, like pies and pasties :oops;
Im quite good with my veg, i soak and boil all veg before i eat it, but this is against my wishes as a love raw veg. so any help and advice along with recepies will be greatly appriciated

thanks guys xx

This has a trial before you buy.

http://www.dietpower.com/

It will help let  you know just what is in a serving and let you keep track of just how much K, Na, etc etc you eat each day and averages over a period of various times.  Week, month year.

http://www.nutritiondata.com/

Not a recipe, but a site that gives the nutritional value
(even phosphorus) of most foods.  I find it very useful
as I am still learning the Renal diet.

Edited because you could punch in the search

foods highest in potassium..check it out   :thumbup;
