I couldn't believe a hurricane travels so far but on Sun. we had
the remains of Ike come thorugh Ohio and it left trees on houses and cars.
downed power lines, over 1.6million with no power.  Isn't that strange?
Schools and many stores are closed.  I was lucky, still have power and no
downed trees.  Power was out in front and behind me.I cannot imagine what it would be like to be in the full strength hurricane,

Just heard from my brother in Worthington and he has had no power since Ike hit Ohio.  Ike certainly was a bad storm.

Have they decided whether or not they are going to "retire" the name Ike?  Apparently, they start the name list over every 6 years, but really bad storms get their name "retired".

Hurricanes are nothing to play around with.  My family lived in Miami for two years when I was a child.  During that time a hurricane hit.  Very, very scary and when the eye came over, silence,
you could hear a pin drop.  Erie!
Glad you still have your power OB.

Love, Mimi
