I just spoke to twirl for almost an hour! She is doing okay and really misses everyone on IHD. She said thanks to MI for the offer of help, and to David for continuing to post in the "Last post Loves IHD the most" thread (she says she's gonna win, she just KNOWS it) so hang in there Mikey, JoePaul, kim and WAW! She also said thank you to everyone else who is thinking of her. The neighborhood she is in was badly hit and large trees fell everywhere. There's a tree in her pool and it has become a swamp now - including snakes! Her dogs were so scared the night Ike hit that she had to sedate them. Then her cow dog was missing and she was really worried. They found him hiding under the van and had to coax him out with some fajita beef.
There's not much else to do with the all the heat and no power, but hopefully they will get electricity back in the next few days.  She says she is like Mary Todd Lincoln, sitting each night doing embroidery by candlelight.
Twirl asked about everyone, wondering how her fellow Texans did in their areas with Ike. She also wondered about others affected by the hurricane. And she just wanted to catch up on all the IHD happenings!
I told her to take lots of pictures and I will try to talk her through posting them when she gets back online.
That's the twirl update for now!
Keep twirling girl!
