I just found a glitch with AVG (Yes I use it). When you right-click on a file that you just downloaded off the net you can't scan it. It will scan but if you look at the results it is NOT scanning the file you right-click on...

Can anyone help me? (I only ask here since we are on the topic of AVG :P  and the problem about IE not working has already been fixed that you guys were talking about).

I could be mistaken but isn't AVG suppose to only scan entire drives with a light or aggressive scan?  I didn't know it can do single files.  ???

Sandmansa: Nope! You are mistaken. You can right click ANY file and choose "Scan with AVG Free" Please see the attached image. I really think you should give AVG a try to see how feature enriched it really is.

Angie: I think you should re-install AVG if you are having a problem. This program is great and I have used it for YEARS, and I have NEVER had one complaint with it. It will EVEN scan compressed files such as ZIP, rar, 7z, ect, ect.

Well if you scanned a COMPRESSED file you downloaded from the net it may very well contain 27 files.

I am so happy with Mozilla Firefox.  Thanks for telling me about it, Epoman.  Now I have three pages loading together as my home page - IHD, the arcade, and the chat!!!  How cool is that!

Ah.  Well, I did try it on my system about a year ago and ran into so many problems with it.  It would always scan on windows startup even after I repeatedly disabled it and no matter what specific configurations I gave it, it would always reset to default.  I kept getting the same problems after reinstall and even on other machines I tried it on.  And I don't know what to believe was wrong with it because we paid for the full version from AVG.  My guess was that we got a bugged installer and I was reluctant to try it again.
