Are those guys gay? Not that there is anything wrong with that!
Anyway..... I adopted my 2 dogs (I only have Pebbles left) when they were 7 and 8. They were such well behaved dogs I called the Foster Mom to see if I could talk to the owners. When I called the previous owner I had to leave a message. In the middle of my message Lisa picked up the phone and was sobbing "you, you have my babies??...." She was heartbroken that she had to give them up but they were getting a divorce and could not keep 3 Miniature Pinchers. I took the girls and someone else took Rocky.
I told her she could visit them anytime she wanted to. The first visit was so hard on Lisa and the dogs. Pebbles laid by the door of the house after she left for hours. But, Lisa kept coming and they never forgot her. The would hear her car lock (beep) and would perk up and run to see if it was her. After about 5 visits they would run to see her and then come sit with me.
Lisa remarried the nicest guy and she had her first baby on May 3. I had to put Adrianne down on April 30 but did not call Lisa until she had her baby and I knew things went well and she could handle it. We both cried on the phone. Adriann was 12. Pebbles is now 12 but doing well. It has been almost a year since Lisa saw Pebbles, but I know Pebbles would run and jump into her arms.
Long story, but that movie got me thinking.
