My Husband Ron was on Home Hemo with NxStage. He has received a transplant on 6/5/08 and we have ALOT of supplies to give away.
Any suggestions as to what to do with: 70 boxes of 40 lactate Dialysate fluid, 2 cases of blunt needles, 5 cases of cartridges for the NxStage, 2 cases of saline bags...and more....we also have a lot of his meds that are not needed any longer- such as his phophorus blocker- Renagel. How about 1000+ 2by2 gauze pads? Syringes? A couple Epo vials and alot of heparin, too.
Any ideas? Because this is stuff intended for medial use, we cannot get any help from our local dialysis center as to who may be using a nxstage at home- eventhough it is perfectly safe to use- between the privacy laws and the restrictions on passing on unused medical supplies- we have a lot of needed medical supplies that should not go to waste.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Oh, by the way- we are in Northern Illinois and are willing to talk about delivery options.

Thanks to Bill Peckham- we no longer have to worry about all those NxStage supplies hanging around! He stopped by and loaded up all he could fit into his van. Thank You So Much!
Now- we do have a couple leftovers- NEEDLES! LOTS and Lots of NEEDLES!They are 15 gauge Blunt/Beveled Needles with tubing attached.
I have 1 case of 1" needles and 2 cases of 1 1/4" needles.

Anyone need them? We hate to see them just hang around gathering dust- hopefully someone here can use them.

 :)
