The last time I someone off was probably was while I was still in AL & was a very angry person there!  (well, my roommate was basically living off of me & that is who I told "off" before I kicked her  ) out!  When was the last time you REALLY smelled the rain? |

Got on the transplant list - Halloween Day 2008

1994 - Salt Lake City, while on vacation. I couldn't go into the temple proper, since I'm not Mormon, but I went to the Tabernacle and listened to the all-volunteer choir sing. They do a live TV show from there every Sunday morning, so it was really interesting to watch the TV production part of it.
When was the last time you blew soap bubbles with one of those little plastic wands?

10/04 Radical Nephrectomy (Kidney Cancer or renal cell carcinoma)
02/08 Started Hemodialysis
04/08 Started Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD)
05/08 Started CCPD (my cycler: The little box of alarms)
07/09 AV Fistula and Permacath added, PD catheter removed. PD discontinued and Hemodialysis resumed
08/09 AV Fistula redone higher up on arm, first one did not work
07/11 Mass found on remaining kidney
08/11 Radical Nephrectomy, confirmed that mass was renal cell carcinoma
12/12 Whipple, mass on pancreas confirmed as renal cell carcinoma

• I'm not a complete Idiot -- some parts are missing.

never colored my hair always blonde we have more fun so why color it  when was the last time you went outside to pee on the grass, just because you can-- you still make some pee and it is the backyard and you have a big fence and it is night |

Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr. 2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges
