Well that sucks! Sorry to hear that Rick. That is a real blow. I had no clue about Kidney Failure until I ended up in ER also. Stick with this site and learn about the whole process from just starting to living well with a transplant or if not eligible living as well as you can on dialysis.
You can come here to vent also. Glad you found us.

Hey Rick,
Welcome
. This is a great site. The people here are very knowledgeable and very willing to help. I am in a similar situation. I was told in January that my kidneys were failing and I started dialysis in June (in center hemo). I found this site about a month ago and I log on everyday to see what is going on.

Rick. Have they given you any reason for your kidneys just failing? You'll find lots of information and support here. Take care and hope to hear more from you.

Hi Rick!
That must have been a real shock! It will take some time to adjust, it must have been a real whirlwind of two months! A similar thing happened to me when I was nineteen, I had a routine blood test and the next thing I knew my GP was standing on my doorstep with his car engine running saying "pack an overnight bag, we're taking you to hospital NOW!!"
Get yourself on the transplant list ASAP and stay well!
Welcome!! I'm also a newbie but I've found so many good people on here already and so much great advice, stay with us and update as often as poss!

I am so sorry dialysis hit you so quick. It hit me quick too. It is quite an adjustment. Find out all you can and ask a lot of questions. Welcome to the site.
