I am glad to have found this site and have told my patients and other staff members how great it is!

I have worked as a tech for 3 years and am fortunate to work with a wonderful staff.  We all have the philosophy you are not just patients you are family.  We always greet with a smile, hugs and kisses, too.  We will sing, dance, tell a joke, sit and hold your hand, or just be there when you need us.  All this, sometimes, annoys our clinical manager,(especially the singing and dancing) but he tolerates it.

It saddens me that other units don't work this way, or even have that caring of an attitude.  I hope some day that changes.

Thanks.

Welcome to ihatedialysis.com bowie ,

It's a refreshing feeling to hear of someone who gives of themselves in the medical field and after so three years the passion to help still exists. I hope you always have that passion and I hope you gain knowledge and friendships through IHD.

I have taken to telling really bad jokes to the techs at my new center.  I am glad your center is like family.  Welcome to the site.
