Rob showing off his pot of gold!

« on: July 03, 2008, 09:32:36 AM »

Wow, what a morning.  We had our scheduled delivery this morning and at first it went fine.  The delivery guy seemed nice, got the boxes in and I thought he was going on his merry way.

Well, about 5 mins later I was doing laundry and noticed that there was another delivery guy in front of my house, along with the same guy I just had.  They seemed to be arguing and then the original delivery guy came back to my front door and opened it.  Luckily I was right there and asked him what the heck he was doing.  I guess there was a mix up and 2 delivery's were coming for me, he wanted to check the delivery receipt.  I told him he could not just walk into my house uninvited, that was not cool.  He said "WOW" to me and then told me I was rude!   :o.  Are you kidding me????  This dude walks into my house uninvited and I am rude.  So then I tell him he's the rude one and it's illegal!  He tells me to F off and then tells the other delivery guy to F off and demands he get out of his way.  By now, I am pissed off beyond means.  Thankfully my 9 yo son wasn't here to witness this, but my next door neighbor was going out with his 6 yo granddaughter and she heard it all.  So mad!  I told him he should be ashamed of himself, talking like that.

Well, he sped off, the other delivery guy was pretty much shocked.  He called his boss and also apologized a bunch of times.  I wasn't mad at this guy, I had him before and he has always been very professional and polite.  I did call the jerk guy's general manager and needless to say, this was his last day there.  The general manager also apologized and agreed he was a complete jerk.  I also called NxStage and let our CS Agent know about this, she was going to call the courier company also.

I have to say, I was a bit scared.   I was very glad there was another guy there, who knows what this jerk would have done.  My dogs were barking like crazy in house, it was nice to have them there.

I would ask for police surveillance for a week or two until this guy cools off or someone else pisses him off.  Those kind can snap.

Hope you are doing okay now.      :cuddle;

I promised my nurse that I would not post about deliveries.  (actually since May, the NxStage ordering has gone well)

But holy crap, I think that they must have transferred one of my guys to your area.  He does sound unstable, and he is now unemployed.  Notifying the local police that there was an incident would be a good idea.

Now you know why he is unemployed. Try not to worry the other driver must have really fired him up. His beef isn't with you, he was acting irresponsible that is all.

Glad you are ok though. Everyone seems to be one incident away from insanity these days.

Wow, that IS really scary.  For the past year and a half we've been lucky enough to have the same guy delivering the supplies every 2 weeks.

One time I guess our guy was out and it was a different guy who refused to carry the boxes up the flight of stairs we have.  I told him that's his job and he got on the phone right away with his boss who, needless to say, was on my side and made him carry the boxes up.  For some reason I oddly felt guilty but this guy was in shape - and young, so I dont know what the big deal was.

That was probably my worst experience over the years..  but geesh, your situation sounds horrible.  Hope something like that doesn't happen again! And I agree with everyone else, to be safe.. maybe you should alert the police.

Out of curiosity since I just read this off the new topics and do not read NxStage threads normally, are these employees of NxStage or a private courier service?

Also, pays to lock your doors these day's, there is no real safe neighborhood these days anymore.

hat an odd day of events to go through.

Hi Chris -

I can only speak for myself (obviously) but we deal with an independant courier service who actually delivers various things besides NXSTAGE supplies to people.
