I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.

Is it good luck to adopt a black cat on Friday the 13th? I went looking for black cats today at the animal shelters. (My cat died in December and I am finally ready for a new kitty.)

I am not at all superstitious and I would not have even thought of this if we didn't have this thread, but today i was told that my part-time job with the Tourist Board is over, as from today.  They will pay me and then pay me two weeks pay, but they are letting go of all the part-time staff.

Oh Bajanne, that's not good at all.  I bet you were great at that job, just like the teaching and it seems to me like you just can't get a break.   :grouphug;

I hope this doesn't get you down too much.
