Right now I'm listening to "Beneath Your Beautiful," by Labrinth, featuring Emeli Sandi, which reached number 1 in the UK late last year, and is doing good business here in Australia, but has yet to be released Stateside. Check it out on youtube. Lovely song.

My dog walking around, looking for a snack, one of the cats knocked a jingle bell ball down the stairs and I'm listening to rather than watching How It's Made on Sci channel.

Tomorrow it will be the sounds of plows as we are expecting 2 feet, yes that is feet of snow. I'm keeping fingers & toes crossed that we don't lose power!!

I've been on a bit of a Backstreet Boys kick lately.  But then I watched The Runaways and I downloaded a bunch of Joan Jett music.

I saw the Barnaked Ladies in Halifax when I was a teenager, in the mid 90s, I think.  I was in the hospital at the time, and the band gave a bunch of back stage passes to the children's hospital I was in, so I got to see the show and meet the guys too.  I was into nail care at the time, and had some really long, well kept nails, and Ed Robertson noticed and complemented them. *G*

Geoff, Ed Robertson and Chris Hatfield just recorded a song together, and Chris Hatfield's parts were recorded on the International Space Station.  It's called I.S.S. (Is Someone Singing).  It's a good song, and it's being featured on CBCMusic.ca right now.  Here's a link to the video if you'd like to see it.  http://music.cbc.ca/concerts/Chris-Hadfield-and-Barenaked-Ladies-ISS-Is-Somebody-Singing-2013-02-05/videos/Chris-Hadfield-and-Barenaked-Ladies-ISS-Is-Somebody-Singing

I'm checking that out in a minute!!  I have met them too and seen the at least a dozen times. Their live performances are incredible. Better than most albums!!!  They are very talented musicians who have a very broad range. I still remember when Gordon came out in the states!!!  That was eons ago!!!

Gordon was a favorite.. and it was the Maybe You Should Drive tour that I saw in Halifax.. I did see them again, here in Charlottetown in 2006.. still before Steven Page was asked to leave the group.

I was a little too young to realize the humor of watching them sing Hello City in Halifax, the city that the song is about
