I am here! I cleaned out my desk and room today and checked out.  Hurray!  Keys are turned in.  So Twirl do you want to play with my lesson plans? I could use someone to clean the up and finesse them. I could use more lesson plans on ratios, integers and so on.  We could do a unit.

MIbarra, what grade in special education do you do?

I'm so excited.  Today (in just over an hour's time) my niece and nephew arrive from Florida for two whole weeks without their parents  They are so much fun and we have a ball together.  I'll post pics of my garden at the first chance I get.  They've requested dinner tonight at their favorite japanese restaurant and my nephew always treats us to dinner the first night here.  It's very sweet as he pays with his own money and tells us we can order anything we like.  He's just turned 15 but has been doing this since he was 12.  Syd is 11.

Tomorrow, Lee will take the kids to the baseball game at the Sky Dome while I'm dialyzing.

Today - SPED training an the biopsy which I was scared to death of -- didn't hurt

Tomorrow - My FIRST official day off!!! I am going to lunch with a teacher friend.

Kitkatz, I'm actually not doing special ed. I'm 2nd grade ESL and next year between me and my partner, we will be ESL, GT with some Special Eds thrown in, including AU kiddos. Now that will be a mix!

I just want to get the SPED certification under my belt in case I ever need it officially. I'm also working on my administration degree.

Today we visited the (relatively) new Hindu Temple in Toronto.  It is very intricately carved marble all done in India and shipped in sections then assembled here.  No steel or nails, the whole thing done according to ancient construction techniques and quite remarkable.  The inner part was truly spectacular (no photos allowed) with ceiling sections, every one with a different carved pattern illuminated by changing coloured lights, purple, lime green, aqua etc.

Tomorrow, well you know...the big D, but Syd and I will find some funky place to amuse our taste buds and Lee will take the kids to Chinatown in the afternoon as long as the weather holds.

Today - arrived at hospital at 8 am for a 9:30 fistulagram that didn't get started until after 11.  The angio doc is always behind schedule - so why don't they start adjusting his patient schedule accordingly?

Tomorrow - sleeping in!
