Paris, what is it with these insurance companies!!!

Our policy starts in October, so we start our "annual" deductible then. And then start it over again in January! ARGH! That's $2500 EACH, twice a year!

Give me a BREAK! AND a $500 deductible EACH for prescriptions from October to December and again from January to October.  >:( >:( >:(

Not a happy camper!

Chris, I have never had a problem before.  Talked to the doctors office and they have copies of the scribs, so the problem is at the pharmacy end.   Doctors office will fax new prescribtions.  We shall see what happens.

   And Rob,  Medco is  very nice on the phone; but they just got my stuff so screwed up and all I want is my refills!  I do love having it all online and just clicking to refill -----except this time when none of it is working.  And my favorite nurse wasn't in the office today, so I am worried the second best nurse will screw things up and the doctor won't write the new scribes with out more phone calls.

Aleta, the twice yearly thing makes mo sense at all!  Can they explain why an "annual" deductible is really "bi-annual"   That ends up to be a lot of money!!!  I'd have to sell the house!!    This time my problem is just with the mail order pharmacy. Insurance willingly pays--but the pharmacy has made a mess of my meds.

Just another hamster on the dialysis W.O.F.

       Good morning everyone,  :waving;  once again from dialysis.  They had me come in early. Like that so I can get out early :clap; :clap; Had to scramble to get transport changed, normally pick me up an hr from now.
       Paris, I've had problems with MEDCO. Not sure why. Yes the people you talk to are nice and they try to help, but seems everytime I change a script they can't get it right. They got a new prescrption for Sensapar for me in December 30 mg.  Last week my Dr decided it needed to go up to 60 mg. A new script was faxed MEDCO got confused. It has taken a week to get them "unconfused".
       I finaly got a facebook account, as some of you know. Be patient, it's new to me. And, I guess that means you know where has frozen over  :rofl; :rofl;  . Paris maybe that's why we're suppose to get all that snow and cold weather this weekend.  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;
      Well, hope everyone has a good day.    :2thumbsup;

Rob, have you stocked up on milk and bread yet?   :rofl;   We may actually have a "snow event" !   Kids are getting very excited.  I don't want only ice though!  Pretty snow is fine, but ice brings everything to a halt.   And I definately don't want to lose electricity which happens every time we get ice.  We haven't had the first flake this year, but I think we are really getting some this weekend.  It is in the hight 50's today  and sunny.   :2thumbsup;

Hope everyone has a good Thursday!    :cuddle;

Paris, we were supposed to get a little snow here in Atlanta over the weekend, but they changed it to sleet and freezing rain.  Great, maybe a lazy Saturday until everything melts.  Hubby's birthday is tomorrow and I'm taking him out for fish and chips.  Hope the weather isn't too bad tomorrow night.  Have a great day everybody!

   Paris, yup as soon as we heard the "offical" forcast  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;  Got wood for the fire place ready, too.  Silly me, I tought I had left that sort thing behind in Southern Illinois.   :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;  And we get hurricanes, too?   I've hit the jackpot!  :sarcasm;
   Hey, a "live update" here on IHD. Just got handed two "flyers".  One informs me the clinic will be closed Saturday and open Sunday instead becuae of the pending snow storm  The other "tips" for surviving the storm as a dialysis patient. Could have used the last one last year at this time when I was iced in for three days.  Oh well, I got through it.
   I remember January in Alberta, now that was cold....  But I was only 27 then and in good shape.  Ah the god old days.. :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

      I'm experiencing some strange things on IHD today. I can't see any replies to my posts when I click on that Ijust get nothing. When I click to see see unread posts since my last visit, shows me ones dated in November of 2009.  When I click on a thread, it takes me to Nov of 2009 posts.  Can anyone explain this? It is very annoying.

Afternoon, IHD. Good luck with the storms, you in the lower states. Strangely, living here in Wisconsin, a state that only thaws out for a few months of the year, we have missed all of this weather drama. It is COLD, but sunny and calm. Of course, I probably just jinxed it....

Hey, Americans who went to high school - I just read that J.D. Salinger died. I know when I say this to my husband he'll say "Who?!" so I'm telling you all. (Gwyn had never heard of Kurt Vonnegut until he met me, either. Can you imagine?)

Four letter words have great drama around here. I'm talking about the s*** word.

You know.... it rhymes with though.  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

Yes, I'm sure the stores around here are bare of milk and bread, and full of shoppers in a frenzy!

We already have folks calling off Saturday events here, too.  :rofl;

Rob, I haven't had any trouble logging in or navigating today. Hmmm.

Have a good one, folks.

I heard about Salinger on the radio. RIP.  I had a signed copy of one of Vonnegut's books.  I met him at a signing at a book store.  He signs his name and then draws a picture of his a-hole.  My ex took the book when we split.

That is so cool, Marc  8) - well, except for the part about your ex taking it.  :thumbdown; Love the reference to Breakfast of Champions.

Slaughterhouse Five is one of my all time favorite books, especially because it was central to the early days with Gwyn. When we first me, he told me he wasn't much of a reader (true, very true) and I told him that even people who don't read love Slaughterhouse Five. He had never heard of Vonnegut (in his defense, he's a Brit) but when I finished talking about it he said "I'm going to go down to Borders and see if they have this Slaughterhouse Five you mentioned." :rofl; He bought it, but what's more, he actually read it. He had to return to Britain shortly after we met, and he wrote me lovely postcards and letters about where he was in the book and how it all reminded him of me. Ah, the romance. :guitar: We still have that copy he bought.

        Greetings Sports fans !     :waving;  I am at home and everything works like ti should.   :yahoo; :yahoo; :yahoo; :yahoo;   I have no idea what happened.  Frescenius equipment, their terminal combo unit with TV, music, and internet.  Couldn't even call up their website, which is what it defaults to when you touch the screen for intrnet.  It did display a "You must enter IP address".  this last time.
        Bad dialysis session.  My bp bottomed out while on the machine, had to get the so early I was so hungry didn't get to eat like I normally do too.  I thought at first this was what made my bp drop to 77/41.  But no, I ate a protein bar and while my butterflies were less, the headache and bp were the same.  A little saline and I'm ok.  119/70 upon standing to leave.

 Rob, Thank goodness you can post again   :2thumbsup;    I got my snow supplies and am ready!   You have to love living in the South. Back in St.Louis,  we wouldn't have even thought twice about this.    I am going to sit back and enjoy it----unless we lose power!  Then I won't be happy.

One bank I passed today said it was 72.  I think it was wrong.  It was only supposed to get into the high 60's today.  It is a beautiful day and you can see all the snow covered mountains.

YL, you would never know bad weather was headed this way.  It is gorgeous outside. Bright blue skies, sunny and 63.  Remember back when we didn't know big storms were coming?   Ops, you are too young!    :rofl;     We just had to look out the window and wonder when it would end!     Our house is all electric and the only time that is bad is when the power goes out.  We do have a buckstove---better check on wood!

If I go missing, it means no electricity.  So, don't call out the bloodhounds.   :rofl;

I remember the ice storm of 1973 and the blizzard of 1978.  We lost power for days.  Having well water, we lost water as well.  Luckily, my grandparents lived close by and they had a hand pump to their well.
Too young! :rofl;

It's me again!  :rofl; :rofl;

No treatment tonight, so we come home for a nice "real" dinner where we can sit at the table and eat together. I fixed some salmon, baked potatoes--the works.

Carl butters his potato and reaches over to put the lid back on the butter and....

pours my drink into my lap!

So much for nice relaxed dinner.  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;
