Both my sons did a lot of camping with the scouts, which they seemed to enjoy a lot but no dads (or mums) included in their trips! They're both quite keen on the survival skills stuff. Ray Mears is an all time hero of theirs. I have to say, if i was going to get stranded in the wilderness somewhere I'd pick him first!  :)

Ah but once a cop always a cop. I used to date one many many lifetimes ago .
I always get a guilty conscience when I see one in the rearview mirror. Kneejerk reaction!
Hope you don't have the same effect on me. I'm already mentally running through the things I did today that I probably shouldn't have  ;D
but we won't go into that!

That is one of the big differences between the the Scouts and the Guides.  The Guides philosophy is to spend time with your kid while they are still a kid.  It is a great program.  You get a patch on your vest for each event you attend.

That is correct and yes they are.  It is only a small part and you can get around by going inland for awhile.

I quit Scuts after we had to do a play. That was just not for me and hated being in front of a bunch of people. Before that, it was ok, but we did not do much in a small town.

Slept most of the day away and missed the NASCAR race, highlights of all the races around the world too, but can't remember if there was an F1 race.

Now paying bills. and hopefully set aside money, I need a vacation!

I am thinking either LA or Las Vegas in October Chris. We still need to organize a get together and we are definitely going to need someone to bring the chocolate as Kitkatz will be there.

Dark Chocolate at that. I would bring the dark chocolate from Japan after I tried it first.

Well, I really messed up today.  When I inserted the venous line I missed and ran it down all the way with no flash. I backed it out and got it. My pressure was not right so my tech had me put my arm down. I fell asleep and woke up and something did not feel right.  My hand almost felt swollen.  The venous hole is swollen and hurts so much.  Ice is not helping. 1600 mg of pain reliever is not helping.  It hurts to move my fingers.  I am in a lot of pain.  I still have a thrill but it has never hurt like this before.  I have been infiltrated and the pain now is so much more than that.

Oh Marc, poor thing. Having never had a working fistula, I can make no suggestions, but I hope you find an answer to the pain and that your fistula sustained no lasting damage. Perhaps try to get an emergency appointment with a vascular specialist tomorrow - this sounds like something you don't want to ignore for several reasons. Thinking of you. :grouphug;
