I'll probably be burned at the stake for this, but I am not a fan of Chicago deep pan pizza, which is sacrilege for someone living in Chicagoland.  I like those girly thin crust pizzas with very little cheese, very little tomato sauce and loaded with spinach.  I just tell everyone that it's more renally friendly, which is true, but it is also closer to real italian pizza.  Deep dish is just too much of everything. :puke;  Just looking at it makes my arteries harden.

mmmm pizza  :2thumbsup;

Formaggio (4 cheese) pizza on thin crust with a good side salad. My idea of heaven.

Your right MM that is blasphemy to say yor not a deep dish fanand not living in Chicagoland, ;D I crave for deep dish pizza from any of Chicago's pizza joints. I also crave some Italian beef and/or sausage sandwich dunk in some gravy. When I get to Chicago I am going eat both my comfort foods.BTW I wouldn't mind some sliders from White Castle also. Nothing goes as fast through the body as sliders can.

You and I need to switch places.  I'm beginning to seriously wonder about people who eat hot dogs with tomatoes and phosphorescent green relish, not to mention celery salt.  Celery salt?  Really?

When my son visits from London, he always likes to stop by White Castle on the way from O'Hare.   ::)  Urp.

It supports his foundation which tries and educate kids and keep them off steroids.

Da Coach has his fingers in just about every pie imaginable (probably pizzas, too).

He's a coach now?
I'm use to just one Da Coach, Mike Ditka who did have his hand in pizza, hot dogs, and so forth, but the restaurantt did not survive here.

By the way MM, even though I have lived here in the Chicago area all my life, I now prefer a true version of an Italian Pizza. Of course that could be from watching the History Channel learning the history of pizza or that I can't stand tomatoes to much.

Chris, yeah, I meant Mike Ditka.  Did I have a brainfart and say someone else? ::)

I'm becoming a pizza snob which is not a good idea if you live in Chicagoland.  However, we have a new Italian pizzeria closeby that does fabulous "real" pizzas, and the place is always packed.  We snobs are growing in numbers!

YLGuy, we need to have a "glass of milk" icon to go with your omnipresent chocolate chip cookie!
