It has been raining this week.  Football practice has been canceled so far. That is a shame as my son's team is playing in the playoffs this weekend against the team that won Orange County and the Western States last year and went to Florida for the National Championships. (They beat his team 26-0 during the regular season) No word for today yet.

Yum! Almost made them for dinner.  Instead I cooked a couple sirloins (on sale $2.77/lb) on the grill.
They are holding practice inside the community center as the fields are closed.  They can walk through the plays.

YLGuy,  I was thinking about you on Saturday.  Zeke's Pop Warner team is still undefeated and he is enjoying the season. Saturday, a kid from the other team took a hard hit and was down. After about 5 minutes they called EMS which took another 15 minutes to get there.  Zeke's team hit their knee and did a team prayer, then stayed on their knee until the boy left in the ambulance.  We know he could move his limbs, but don't know anything else.  It shook everyone up. Zeke came back to the bench afterward, looked up at his Mom and said"We prayed for him". His eyes were huge and you could see how much it upset him.

I don't remember the final score--the other team didn't score and we were at the point where our team couldn't score (maybe 30+)   Zeke is 9 and 71 pounds--can't remember what division, but I know you will know!     I have seen two of his games this season.  It has been hard to miss so many, but I pick and chose where and when I go.    I am very impressed with Pop Warner.  Zeke has learned a lot in the past two years; repect and responsibility being two important things.    :2thumbsup;
