I'm here too!    :yahoo;    Lovely morning with Beth getting our hair done.  Great lunch out together.  Then had an Ortho appt.   :thumbdown;   Do all renal patients have fague things that seem to stump doctors? Well, I am sick of it.  A huge knee, filled with blood and intense pain should have a cause.  The closest he can come to an answer is osteomalacia - softening of bones that could cause a blood vessel to burst.  Seriously? We talked about an MRI. He was ready to schedule it. My question was what treatment would he do different after the results.  His reply, not much. There isn't much to do but control the pain and get the swelling down.  Again, seriously??   Might have to rethink my choice of doctor.  He says to give it a couple more weeks.  He did give me Lidocane patches for pain.  We shall see.

But, the hair looks cute. Much shorter, a little darker and flipped out at the back.  I am just going to focus on my hair today    :rofl;

Hi and hugs to Okarol and Galvo    :cuddle;

We need a photo of your hair!  :pics; Please?

I have never heard of knees bleeding internally - seems odd to me. Did he say to use ice or heat?

I read about osteomalacia and it apparently can come from a lack of Vitamin D, which is a problem with CKD. Did he mention that?

In the meantime - I be winnin'!!  :yahoo;

Great picture, Marc!   Looks like everyone was having fun.

We celebrated 2 birthdays and our anniversary today at a nice restaurant "The Twisted Fork".  18 of us.  We had a great time. The kids compared when schools were starting.  There is a new baby coming in about 5 weeks, so lots of baby talk was going on.  Just normal family conversations, one talking over another, lots of laughing and 3 generations sharing a nice day together.    Thank you dear Lord for these days!!   :2thumbsup;

How was everyone elses weekend?

It is only 80 degrees today!!!!   Thanks to the cool air coming down from Canada.  I think Kim and Monrein sent it to me!!!     :rofl;

I changed tomorrow morning's dialysis to 5:40 am.  School registration for my little guy and a boat load of chores tomorrow.  It will be nice to get dialysis over early.
Monday morning was my daughter's registration.  We were back in line a couple of hundred people.  I went to the office to ask if I could sign a lunch pass form and leave to go to dialysis and my daughter could get a ride home from one of her friends (she is a senior).  They told me that we could skip to the front of the line.  Saved her a couple of hours of standing in line.  See, ESRD can be good. lol

YLGuy   :2thumbsup;   on getting to the front of the line!  We have to use our kidneys to our advantage any time we can!!

It is 2am and I am wide awake.  My stupid knee with the "bleeding issue" and other junk is killing me.  Pain patch, ice, pain killers  -- my knee just laughs at all of them!!   And I have been told it could take 3 months for the blood to be reabsorbed and that process will hurt (along with the other pain issues with the knee).  The fun times just keep coming!   5 weeks until our big (16 people) trip to Disney.  I won't --do you hear me?--- I won't be in a wheelchair!!     Ok, I am done ranting.     Well, maybe just for awhile!   I am sure there is more just waiting to come out!!   lol

Hope everyone else is getting some good rest.   :2thumbsup;

Got home a little while ago. Drove 4 hours round trip for Jenna's transplant visit - kidney still hanging tough at 3.2 creatinine - surgeon calls it "puzzling" - I said it's the Brave Little Kidney" - running til the end of the marathon, just like the donor!
Will post more tomorrow! For now I will take the crown!  :bandance;
