Thanks guys!  My knee is still a mess.  Who thought it would be a good idea to ride in a car for 8 hours to Ohio?   (oh, that might have been me)   Well, it was a really stupid idea.   But, I am having a nice time visiting with family.

I do like it when Romona wins!   Hi Romona!!     :cuddle;

Hello Galvo and Marc.    How are my two guys doing?     Marc, Zeke's practice has been cancelled for three days in a row due to temps over 100. He doesn't like missing practice.  Saturday is a pep rally and I won't be there.  I hate missing any of the kids things.

Ok, I win for the moment, but I bet Galvo will be here before too long.    :waving;

Hi everyone.  I am still visiting in Ohio, but soooo want to be home.   I am hurting and just want my own space so I can rest or sleep when I want to.  And I am tired of talking.     Other than that, I am sparking!

Hope you all have a great weekend.    :cuddle;

Yesterday, my sister and I drove to the place we grew up. Our Mom was the ex director and designer of camps.  The first one has been bought by the state and is part of the park system. That is good, because many have access to this great area. But, the one we spent the most years at, is gone.  The house we lived in (150 yr old beautiful historic home) burned down. All the buildings are gone, roads grown over, meadows are gone.  The property is now owned by a hunting group that guides you on deer hunts.  Our Mom would be so upset.  All wildlife was protected when we were there.  Every turtle, bird, snake, deer, bobcat --- it was their home, we were just visiters.  We had a really good day, but it was bittersweet.   During the good years, over 2000 campers came during the summer.  The majority of campers were inner city and had never been to camp before.  Good times, great way to grow up and very special memories.

Hi Galvo    :waving;          Heading back to North Carolina in about an hour.  It has been nice visiting in Ohio, but I am ready to go home.    :2thumbsup;

I am back in North Carolina. My cat is so glad to see me.  I am glad to be home.  I had an emotional time in Ohio, but it was a good visit.   My knee is still swollen, hot to the touch and I am running a fever between 100 - 101.   Going to bed.  Tomorrow is another day to quote Scarlett.

How is everyone else doing?

Good morning IHD.     YLGuy, did you have a good visit with your parents?   I hope it was great.

I guess I will win for awhile.  Maybe everyone else has a life and is busy today!!    :rofl;

But otherwise doing fine.

Des, I am sorry you had such a bad night.    :cuddle;

Marc, how is football practice going?  I haven't been to any of Zeke's practices yet -- this relentless heat is too much for me!  He does better when Mommy and Nana aren't there and it is just the "menfolk"!   We just want to hug and kiss his bumps and bruises away!!    :rofl;

Happy Wednesday to all!   (it is Wednesday, isn't it?)

Practice is going great.  Since J.D.'s team is the next to oldest they practice 7:15-9:35 pm.  It cools off by then.  Tonight is the teams cookout.  I will be flipping burgers.  Last night my daughter had volunteered to work the snack shack for 4 hours.  Then she got invited to the beach so I worked her shift for her.
