Just another hamster on the dialysis W.O.F.

« Reply #23476 on: July 14, 2010, 09:03:27 PM »

 :waving; Good night everyone.  Wow I'm in here close to midnight could it be I am the last poster for the day?  That's some change, huh?

  Had a great day today.  Grandsons were here again.  They rode their bikes in the cul- de-sac while we kept an eye on them this mornng. Tomorrow after they drop me of at dialysis their mother and grandmother are taking them to Monkey Joe's (Monkey Joe's is an indoor play center for kids aged 2-12, with inflatable slides, obstacle courses, jumps, and the ever popular "bouncy houses".) to bounce their little brains out  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;    So, looks like we are both in for a good time,  :lol; :lol;

    Some good news (what going to dialysis tomorrow isn't good news,  :lol; ) the area on my lower leg and ankle  where they removed the potential skin cell cancer is just about completely healed.  Have to go to the wound clinic tomorrow after dialysis, and I expect to get permission to walk on it full time.  Right now, I'm walking around the house and wearing both boots full time.  Was wearing a rocker boot on that leg.  Been using the wheelchair when I have to do considerable walking.

   YL hope things work out with the button holes.

   tyefly enjoy the gardening.

   Catch you all later.

Just dropping by to let you all know I am still here!!!    I know, you thought you had gotten rid of me.   No such luck!!!

This week we are in a 100+ cycle of temperatures and I am really tired of it.   Day after day after day.   Ugg.   I know fc is in the same situation.

But, I was at the Farmers Market today and have so much lovely fresh veggies and peaches.  Plus AlohaBeth's tomatos are ripe, green and banana peppers are close to being ripe. She needs to harvest the basil again.  I guess the plants don't mind the hot weather!!

I win ---I win ---- I win  :2thumbsup;    :yahoo;     :clap;

What's past is prologue

« Reply #23497 on: July 22, 2010, 06:28:25 PM »

Worst storm I've ever been out in today. Torrential rain and standing water to the point where my kids started to panic and cry that they were scared on the ride home. Gwyn is still out in it. He left work over two hours ago (should be a 15-20 minute drive) but phoned on his cell to say he was near home and the roads seem clear now. He is stopping to pick up our CSA drop and hopefully will make it back soon. Our sons' school (where they also have their summer program) has flooded on the ground floor. My older son has his classroom down there do he cannot go to school tomorrow in the morning, they will update us as far as afternoon goes. My younger son can go, but who knows if they want him back - he threw a massive tantrum today and tried to scratch a teacher, and then threw chairs while screaming. He has being doing this at progressively worse intensity for a few weeks. I am nearing my wits' end. :(

Cariad, how is your younger son doing today?  It is hard to be a kid somedays.  And maybe even harder to be the Mom.  :cuddle;

Hello Galvo.   How is your day/night going?   Hope things are good with you.
