As I was coming out the Nephrologist office, I thought the sky was falling.
Knew I was going on dialysis since November 1999.
Had a fistula put in January 2000.
Been on 4-1/2 hour dialysis since August 28, 2001. (They took out 35Kg that single week)

Maria hasbeen on hemodualysis since January, 2005

 :waving; hi everyone.  Hope your day is going well and that my Canadian friends had a good day off from work yesterday, wore some read and white, and got to maybe see a parade or enjoy a cookout.  Happy belated Canada Day  Jour belated  Fête du Canada    :canadaflag; 

   Spent the day with the grand kids and their mom, it has been nice here 85 degrees F  (29C) with low (for ehre) humidity.  Nice blue skies. Grat day to be outside.

    Have a good day everyone.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

Even though were 300 miles inland we're getting some of the effects of hurricane Alex. Veen raining on/off all week. The lights kept on going out so I was off line.

I'm still around. Eye bleed is clearing up, but need to see city doctors for what else is going on.

Eye impairments and blindness in one eye began in 95, major one during visit to the Indy 500 race of that year
   -glaucoma and surgery for that
     -cataract surgery twice on same eye (2000 - 2002). another one growing in good eye
     - vitrectomy in good eye post tx November 2003, totally blind for 4 months due to complications with meds and infection

Diagnosed with ESRD June 29, 1999
1st Dialysis - July 4, 1999
Last Dialysis - December 2, 2000

If I can get up in time I will get my labs done before I have to go to the city. That's my plans for the 5th, but hopefully won't have to go downtown till Tuesday or Wednesday, but that depends how fast the look at their emails of my health update I sent Saturday.

This past weekend was the family reunion, it was both on sat. & sun. My dad had my couisin butcher a goat from the ranch.That was so delicious. I was eating all day sunday.but  it wa mainly meat. Iam suprized that I didm' come in this morning overloaded.  :bandance; :bandance; :bandance; Now I'm the last one.

It is to hot out today. Made it to labs, but no word back from my doctor, so maybe they are closed today. Hard to know who isopen today or not. Would be nice if it was on the homepage of their websites.

  It sure is hot on the US east coast, but we here wer cooler than New York City!  Not often that happens.

  Suggested to someone they come hre to find out more about kidney failure, hope she does.  A Facebook friend.
