Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017

Been out for lunch with a friend, took the husband, who ate all the naughty food, but what the hell,  the sun is shining and it is really hot.We have all had a lovely time. The wine was flowing, ok husband does not drink, but my friend and I made up for it. There are days when you think "yes this is good" and it has been.

Dropped the kids off at school this morning - first time I've done that since the transplant. Aidan has drop-in Brasilian soccer tonight (that is how the Brazilians spell it, so who am I to argue?) I have been able to get a few things done around the house thus far: made salsa using our CSA spring garlic and cilantro, returned unwanted shoes to Endless, and have gone through a few loads of laundry. Taking a break before I continue cleaning. Our anniversary is Thursday and I don't want the poor babysitter to get lost in the clutter.

My aunt loves cold weather- she came out to visit for my kidney transplant when there were record lows where she lives (California) and record highs where we live (Arkansas). She went home today- now there are record lows here and record highs in California!

December 15, 2009- Transplant Evaluation
January 7, 2010- I'm on the list!
February 4, 2010- Fistula and PD Catheter Surgery
March 8, 2010- Begin CCPD; My cousin will be my donor in June!
June 22, 2010- I got a kidney from my awesome cousin!

Rained early today here in southwest texas. I stepped out to see my flock and I was hit with a wall of humidity. I went back inside, I'll go out later tonight. It is 93 in the shade.

As I was coming out the Nephrologist office, I thought the sky was falling.
Knew I was going on dialysis since November 1999.
Had a fistula put in January 2000.
Been on 4-1/2 hour dialysis since August 28, 2001. (They took out 35Kg that single week)

Maria hasbeen on hemodualysis since January, 2005
