Picked up my new orthotics today and did blood work.  Everything was in the normal range, every single value and I'm very happy.  Creatinine was 91 (slightly over 1 in US scale) and all my liver enzymes are good too.

Planning to go shopping in a bit and will make a tofu and green bean recipe with toasted almonds, golden raisins, hot spices, and fresh yogurt.  I'm still getting over a nasty cold but feeling basically human again.  Still cool here today but tomorrow it'll be 18 celsius and 28 on the weekend.

Had my unbelievably long pre-transplant appointment today.  It had to be easily 8 hungry hours!!

I have just a couple things to complete then the comittee can sit and decide if I am worthy of a third kidney in 22 years!!
I think I  took pretty good care of the last one (15 yrs) so hopefully that works in my favor!
I am a really crappy dialysis candidate too...vascular access crap...trying PD now after many abdominal surgeries and praying the current permacath doesnt infect!!

Have a great nite everybody!

Morning  :waving;

I was rudely awaken this morning by a call from the doctors office to come in for test for surgery. Couldn't they wait till after 7:30 am? I'm use to  them caling late for one, usually after 4 pm. Now I have to go out to drop off papers for Medicaid since their fax machine on't answer for the last couple days.

I would go back to bed if I could, but eventually will as usual after 5 pm

Booked a last minute holiday over Easter for 3 nights, lovely hotel. Bit scared this is the first time we have been away since Alan got peritonitis in Kos. The hotel is in the country only 40 min away from hospital. I know I am stupid but I would rather be near home just in case. Hope every one has a good break.

Found out I lost another good doctor today. Would be nice if they would send a letter, call, or email until you ask for a refill. Then they don't even ask if you would like to come in to see someone else  :rant;   :urcrazy; :urcrazy; :Kit n Stik; :Kit n Stik;  Other than that it was a nice day out and warm. Had the cat out side with me as he followed me around in the backyard (it's fenced)

Hi Chris, Beth bought a harness and leash for our big Maine Coon     :rofl;    She looks so silly walking around on a lease---the cat!!  Not Beth!!!  But the cat loves being outside.

Off to another doctor today.  Is that all we do around here?    Looks like just Chris and I are winners today    :2thumbsup;

Doctors and Test is about it that we do  :rofl;

Our female cat doesn't mind the harness, but she doesn't like to go out side very much. The garage is about as far as she'll go on her own if the door is closed. Male cat loves to go outside and also wears the harness with no problem. He will go for a walk for a short bit, but would rather lay and watch, then prance on something or chase a leaf.  :rofl;  Need more pictures of your cat Paris.

Good to see you around Marc.

No much going on today, tomorrow is another story with test.

Today is the kind of day that makes me remember why I hate going to doctors.  I like my doctors, but am really tired of them finding things wrong with me.  I know the problems have all been there for awhile, but I just want one diagnosis to deal with.  Just kidney disease should be enough --- nothing else.   Anyone (or everyone) agree??     I thought I would be the 90 yr old that still went hikiing and traveled the world.  Best laid plans    :rofl;

Wishing all who celebrate, a wonderful Easter holiday.  I am looking forward to egg hunts, church with my family, huge gathering on Sunday, and the grandkids are having a lemonade/ candy stand to help raise money for our Kidney Walk.   We have made chocolate green ribbons, Eiffel towers and purple tiaras!  I will post pictures---they all look so cute.  You can buy candy molds in any shape!  And they are making cupcakes with green ribbons on them.  Love, love, love these kids. They are very special.

I might be in the mood the day after to celebrate, the chocolate sales begin  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;  However, I haven't had a strong urger to look for easter candy this year. I saw a lady buy peeps today and thought for a brief second I should buy some. Then I quickly remembered I don't like them

IHD time to get up and smell the coffee.  Bright sunny skies here today with highs to be in the 60 degree range.  WOOHOO.  My car will get its summer sneakers on and the winter boots off tomorrow.  YIPEEEEEE.  Quieter drive in my horizon.

And apparently I'm winning.
