Sorry to hear Aleta. Karol, that's good news, I bet she felt a little better about getting out.

Today was an exhausting day, most of it waiting. Didn't get out till after 4 pm and came home in pain and went to sleep. Got some answers, more confusion, and more ways to meet spendown from medical products I purchase over the counter from Ensure, canes, glasses and repairs. Just ned a doctors note on why I need OTC meds and Ensure. Also found out I have yet another new caseworker and spend down case worker who is new and messing up. So it was good to talk to the Supervisor who gave me her diresct line and FAX to send information in to get Medical Card ASAP because I didn't bring everything I previously submitted that I haven't heard back ffrom about. Long meeting, lots of explanations, concerns gone over, and confusion.

Good Morning IHD - time to wake up and get up and about, take in some nourishment and be happy that it is Friday.

White stuff started falling from our skies last night and it still is.  I remember seeing some of this white stuff in the news for the southern states so it must be snow.  Odd sight for us this winter but I'm thinking the ski areas will have a happy day.

Hang tough everyone.

Tyefly...I am SO jealous!  Would love to spend a weekend lost somewhere quiet.

Today I am chasing calves, need to get a couple into the feedlot that are sold so I can feed them out and make them pretty tasty!  With all the muck in the lot, I'll be singing "slip sliding away....".

Hello everyone!

Going to one granddaughter's first play performance at her middle school tonight.  She is very excited.  I am tired, but I bet being there will perk me right up.

Tyefly -  Beth and I went for a walk in the forest yesterday---just to clear our heads.  Nature is my biggest source of renewal.  Have a wonderful weekend!

I win because:
My oldest son visited me in dialysis today.
My buddy and his wife are taking me to a guitar shop in Santa Monica tomorrow night to see Jorma Kaukonen play
and last but far from least I will get to meet some IHD people on Sunday at the Patient Lifestyle Meeting.

I'm up, can't go to sleep due to blood sugar crashing. 1 of 3 steps closer to getting surgery by getting appointmen with cardiologist after waking up after 1:30 pm. Now just need monthly labs done and schedule surgery. Just seems I don't get enough rest. I want my normal 3 hours of sleep and ready to go feeling I had last year back.

          Good day everyone   :waving;.  Greetings from dialysis, hope yo're willing to keep this one handed typist  :rofl; :rofl; company for the next three hours.  As a retrn favor, I include free typo's in my posts.  :rofl;   :rofl;  You're lucky I normally charge for them.

         If I weren't stuck here would be headed to Raleigh to see the grandsons, but that will have to wait till tomorrow. Great weather here this weekend, sunny and around 60 degrees.

         Slywalker, dogs are like that.   :rofl; :rofl;  They just won't look at a calender no matter how much you want them to do so.

         Marc have a good time tonight.   :clap;  You have a good son.  :2thumbsup; :2thumbsup;  Nice picture too.  :thumbup;

         Chris hope the blood sugar straightened out so you could get enough sleep.  I know what you mean about the three hours.  I do that with four solid hours.

         Paris, hope the play went well.  Will be a while before our grandsons will be involved in such things, but looking forward to it.  I bet going did perk you up.  It is the important things like being able to be at her play that makes all the dialysis related "intrusions" in our lives, worth while.  Hope you are 5njoying our nice weather conditions.

         Won't be here tomorrow, see you Monday.

Had fun at the play last night.  7th and 8th graders performing Cinderella the musical.   They were cute and quite proud of themselves.  This morning I went to basketball games--3 in a row.  I am tired and it is only early afternoon!  Too early for pj's?    :rofl;

Wishing all who are going meeting at the Patient Lifestyle Meeting a wonderful day.  Take lots of pictures and share the day with all of us.   :2thumbsup;    Wish I was on the West coast tomorrow instead of the East coast, but I will be there in thought.  Have fun!!

Chris, I hope you get everything sorted out soon and start feeling better.  Do you need a chocolate fix??

 :waving;  Hi fc  -Rob!  The sun in shining and it is hitting 60 degrees today/ tomorrow.  Yea!!

Slywalker - love our pets, but they just don't tell time or read calendars!  You derserve a nap today!!!

Rob, have fun with grandkids, and their parents to if you must  :-[ :rofl;

Paris, I haven't had chocolate in2 weeks now. I never make it to the candy aisle in the store.I didn't get up in time to go over to the store to get girl scout cookies today. I have to wait till March for them to be in my area (well places I know) according to the website to locate cookie sales.

Marc, I wish I could have stayed in my sweats, but have to go out.

What's past is prologue

« Reply #22342 on: February 20, 2010, 04:00:22 PM »

I am still getting migraines that come and go, it all started after the stem cell collection. I have stopped taking percocet because it makes me throw up and am trying to treat them with caffeine and tylenol. Success has been limited. I am hoping that this is just a result of the last of the Neupogen getting out of my system. Thanks so much for the support while we were going through the collection. It made me smile to read all of your messages.

We are probably going to go to a martial arts demonstration tomorrow. My 3-year-old keeps asking us to teach him Tai Chi. Sorry, Liot, we don't remember it that well. My 7-year-old has a soccer match tomorrow afternoon. Other than that, we'll just be lazing around here.

Have fun this weekend, everyone. :flower;

I am so sorry to hear about the migraines.  Lazing around sounds great.
We will go to 5:00 Mass tonight.  That will get me home about 6:20.  My friends are picking me up at 6:45 to go up to Santa Monica.  That way I can sleep a little later and not have to run to the 8:00 am Mass tomorrow before the Lifestyle Meeting.

Thanks to Marc saying it was ok to put pajamas on early---I did!  And promptly fell asleep!   It felt good. I never nap, but the last couple of days have worn me out. Tonight is all about watching the Olympics.

Have a great time tomorrow all of you who will be meeting up.   :pics;

Paid the price for going out. I haven't eaten that much in a long time and pain/swelling in knee. I didn't get up till after 2:30 pm and it wasnt even for a hangover or anything related to alcohol (would have been a better story).
