Aleta, maybe Carl was coming on to you?  :-[

Yes.... like peal off all those wet clothes!  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

All the OTHER schools around here have already closed for today even though the snow is not supposed to hit until around 3:00 PM. We are open, of course!

The forecasters are calling for about 8 inches tonight! The kids will have fun this weekend and the parents will be going crazy!  :rofl;

     Good morning everyone  :waving;.    We are expecting a "winter storm" to hit tomorrow.  If I were back home in Southern Illinois it would be a minor event, but here... people are panicing. :rofl; :rofl;  Well, frankly they don't have the equipment to deal with it.   They are closing school 2 hours early this afternoon, so my wife gets off work early.   She's a little happy.   Like Paris said, if you don't hear from me for a while, it is due to power outages.  Would anyone notice me missing  though?  :rofl; :rofl;

Of course we would, Rob!

Looks like the weather will be a non-event here in Atlanta.  All the early talk about snow is gone and now only the north mountains will get sleet and freezing rain.  That's fine with me, if it's frozen, but not snow, I don't want it.  I'll take the rain. :)

It started snowing here about 2 hours ago and already an inch. Last of the children left about 45 minutes earlier than usual! Woot!

Carl set up the generator in case we lose power during treatment.

7 - 11 inches predicted tonight followed by freezing rain and sleet tomorrow. Gonna be interesting.

Aleta, that is our forecast also.   I am ready -- just like preparing for a hurricane!    I think FC is getting more ice than snow. They are saying Fayetteville could get .75 inch of ice!   Let's hope everyone stays safe.   It should be an interesting weekend.    A friend asked if I had all the supplies I needed. I said yes.  She replied "how much wine do you have?"   She didn't want me to run out of the essentials!     :rofl;

Aleta, you are going to get what we are just getting out of.  It started here early this morning, we have about 5 inches on the ground and it's still coming down hard.  Forecast says we may get 4 more tonite and then it's out of here but it will be 24 (F) tomorrow for a high.  Our Aussie loves the snow...our mini schnauzer hates it.  I love it.

Saturdays are our normal shopping day (work long hours....) so we aren't really stocked up. No matter. We have plenty in the house to eat, a wood stove for keeping warm if we lose power, and the generator that will handle the dialysis machine!

Let it snow!  :2thumbsup;

I wish it would snow here, we just have the cold.

Missed most of the day today, woke up at 2pm, which isn't good for taking my meds. I did go to bed early to, just after 2 am.

I received a $50 gift card to the cheesecake factory for being the Business Manager for my son's team.  I took my oldest there tonight for dinner.  There was thousand island dressing on his bbq and bacon hamburger.  I sent it back requesting burger, cheese, bacon and bun only.  When it finally came back, my son took a couple of bites and showed me that they just scraped off the dressing (and not very well).  When the waitress came back at the end of the meal I told her about it nicely.  They comped the burger and 2 slices of cheesecake.  So now I have a slice of Godiva chocolate cheesecake and a slice of Dulce de leche cheesecake in my fridge and half of the gift card left still.
Note: It was a good time to teach my son something.  I explained that it was not the waitresses fault, it was the kitchen's so we tip based on what the bill would have been if they did not deduct the other food.

We have a Cheesecake Factory in the city, but never went there. However the cheesecake you have sounds good and would not have lasted long. :-[
