Aleta, like you, I would have dropped at the beginning of the list!  Maybe wouldn't have even made it out of bed to start the list   :rofl;

My day, since we are at it.

6:00 AM alarm... snooze it.
6:10 up and at em.
7:15 leave for school
7:30 A parent is waiting in the parking lot as we arrive.
7:30 - 8:00 classroom prep and check computer. 7:50 receive call from the nurse at my dad's assisted living that he is being taken by ambulance to the hospital.
8:00 Line duty. Smile at all the kids and their parents as they arrive for a wonderful day at school.
8:25 counsel autistic child whose mom is out of town about today's expectations.
8:30 set up painting area for the students who did not finish their papier mache head painting yesterday.
9:00 clean up painting area then monitor the multipurpose room/library until 11:00 when my team teacher comes in to ask where the Limerick worksheets are since one of the students wants to edit his.
CRAP! I forgot to type them up last night because we were discussing the transplant situation!
11:05 Begin madly to get all the Limericks ready so the students can take them home to memorize tonight.
11:25 Crap again. I forgot to call the student in to get the tables ready for set up at 11:30.
11:30 Lucky me! the kid whose job it was to prepare the tables is really good at it and the room is ready.
11:30 - 12:00 lunch table set up, getting ready to test my diabetic student, getting the mail, checking e-mail and getting scince ready for the afternoon.
12:00 - 12:15 eating with the kids (I finish as fast as possible in order to get ready for the next thing).
12:30 Helping students prepare their portfolios (usually done on Friday, but this is a weird week with  our historical dinner tomorrow).
1:00 science with the kindergarteners and first grade students. This week we studied the chemicals in leaves that make them different colors in the fall. (How many of you can spell anthocyanin and xanthphyll?)
1:45 break. Talk with dad who will be in the hospital for a few days at least.
2:30 take kids outside.
3:00 - 3:15 Dismissal duty.
3:15 Kitchen duty (clean up the afternoon snack stuff and get things ready for the morning)
3:30 - 4:15 after care duty.
4:15 Carl takes the kids out side. I call my brother to let him know about dad. Then impromptu meeting with distraught parent who will have to withdraw her child as of Friday (family has been with us for 5 years).
5:15 remind Carl to put his cream on and take the remaining students into the hall to wait for the last of their parents. Tell stories.
5:30 Leave for home.
5:40 start getting the machine ready for dialysis.
6:10 stick left over pizza in oven.
6:18 draw blood for Kt/v.
6:22 PM take first readings from machine.
6:25 serve Carl his dinner in his lap with his pills and a drink.
then sit down and eat mine.

 :rofl; :rofl; I think I'm worn out!

Is it quite common to have school starting at 7.35am?  We'd never get anyone in the classes over here if we tried that ha ha.  We're not even up yet at 7.35!

No, I did not call transplant center. Left a message at 4:00 pm though with the doc who prescribed the medication there. I sslept most of the day. I got up at 7 am playing on getting ready to do stuff, but after starting to clean up the kitchen, I went back to bed to get warm. Woke up late in the afternoon. Never answered my phone for whomever was caling. Got up, finished cleaning the kitchen and floor, swept the  house and went back to bed at 6 pm.

Chris, it sounds like you are worn out!

Hanify, we have kids competing to be the first at school!  :rofl;

What are we doing wrong?  :clap;

Today is our big Historical Dinner day. By this afternoon there will be full sized models of historical figures sitting at a dinner table ready to welcome the parents in to learn about them. This is the most tiring day of the year. But, hey, we have a dialysis clinic this morning so I get to miss most of the tiring stuff!

Well, Dan,
Pick your person, do your research, write a Limerick about your person, make a papier mache head and wig for your person, gather the clothing (2 pairs of panty hose for the arms and legs and a trash bag for the torso, all stuffed with crumpled newspaper) and you are set to go.

It IS rather theatrical. We have linen table cloths and candle light while the children recite their Limericks.

Here is one from a third grade student:

Frank Lloyd Wright

Frank built a house over falls.
It was of wood and glass walls.
His first design
Was better than fine.
He gave architecture his all.

Come on over to enjoy our "dinner" tonight.

I'm just feeling pretty good because we had our dialysis clinic today and they are taking care of referring us for listing with the transplant center that will accept me as a donor with my CC of 88!

Woot!  :clap; :clap;

Really late dialysis tonight after having our historical dinner at school. Will be dragging tomorrow.  :rofl; But then FALL BREAK!

And a trip to Massachusetts! Weeeeeee!
