I started to get a sore throat yesterday so I mixed up a concoction after supper of fresh squeezed lemon, honey and a nip of rum (will maybe 2 or 3 nips)!!  Mixed it with boiling water.  It tasted really good. I sweat and sweat after I drank it.  No sore throat today!!!  Going to mix myself another one now just for good measure because I still feel like I have a touch of a cold!!

I think I have a touch of the cold too, or maybe a sore throat.  How did that concoction go now?   ::)

Long day today. Why do the kids pick now to go berzerk and pull new stunts on me?

Can't sleep ----- again. Just one night's sleep, that is all I am asking.  8 hours with no interruptions.  Instead, I have been laying there for the past three hours and finally gave up.  It has been this way for almost two weeks.   Ok, I am done complaining and back to WINNING!!   :yahoo;

I got three hours early this morning--and I took Ambien at 11 last night.   While up, I heard my neighbor come home at 2:30 am.  And he was gone again this morning.  I am worried that Laura, his wife, is back in the hospital. She has been living with cancer for 15 years and is back on chemo again. She is really sick this time. Last week she was in the hospital for 5 days with CHF from fluid overload.     We have lived beside them for 25 years and they are great neighbors and good people.   Everyone is dealing with something, even if we don't know what it is.

Hope you all have a good Friday    :grouphug;

Paris, I'm sorry about your neighbors. You are right. Everyone is going through something!

Take care.

My friend who is going through a separation after 23 years of marriage called me at 3:30 AM - distraught and having a panic attack. She has no siblings, her mom is in a nursing home and she is overwhelmed. So I got up and drove 40 minutes to where she is staying. I stayed for a few hours then raced home to take Johnny to school by 7:30 am. I still haven't recovered. I need more sleep! Hopefully I can catch up on the trip!

Ok I win  ;D

I am so tired tonight!!! I have an apple pie in the oven and when that is baked it's off to bed for me, I think. No dialysis tonight!!!  I stayed home today to try to get rid of the cold I have. I knew if I went to school and was talking all day I would have lost my voice. I hate when that happens but hubby likes it LOL!!

Pool season is just about over. If I ever win the lottery, I will have an indoor pool so I can swim all year. I have no desire to live where there are no seasons, but I DO want to get in the pool every day!  :clap;

Carl built this pool for me when I had my last knee surgery. He dug it by HAND!!! Gotta love that man.

Busy weekend ahead for us.

Have a good one, everyone.

We are back to torrential RAIN! I am getting soooo tired of it.

We are hosting a dinner party tonight. Blitzed the house. It still looks waaaaay lived in.  :rofl;

Carl is on the machine. Now I just need to get all the food ready!

Tomorrow I drive to Cincinnati. Probably in the RAIN!

Aleta have you looked into solar heating for the pool?  That way it's still outdoors, but warm.  Then I'd DEFINITELY be over there to have a swim lol.

Hey, Hanify. We have two solar heaters for the pool. One is a purchased job and the other is one that Carl made. They really extend the season, but we have pushed it about as far as it can go. AND we need sun to get the extra heat. It has been rainy, rainy, rainy here. I am pretty sure that my swim last night will be the last of the season since next week the night time temperatures will be running about 20 degrees cooler than last week. Oh well.! It was fun while it lasted.

I have my lottery ticket, though. If I win.....
