Well if it's from DQ, it's called Chocolate/Cherry/Butterscotch/ dipped cone, but if your talking about store bought, then it's usually marked on the box as chocolate covered such as Klondike Bars, Eskimo Pie, then there is the stuff you can buy called Magic Shell that hardens up when applied to ice cream.

I'm talking about the chocolate dipped DQ ice cream (the blizzard). I didn't know they now have so many flavors. It used to be just dipped chocolate (so good). And It had a clever name -- I'll think of it someday.

The blizzard is a thick thick shake that you can only use a spoon to eat unless it melts and you do not have candy bits in it.As far as I can remember from the 70's, the cone was always ordered as a dipped cone. There is also the crunch cone. It is nut crunch flavor of sprinkles, but it's not dipped. The cone is inserted sideways as the crunchy nuts roll around and fall onto the cone as you spin the cone.

We had so much fun at the Marble Slab!
Wren, the baby got a cone, too and she was an absolute pig. Carl did not get any (the phosphorous - he has such self control) and he fed that cone to Wren. She wanted our cones, too! She would take a bite of hers, then see us eating and reach out for ours until Carl showed hers to her again. She ate that thing as fast as we ate ours!
Home for w quick swim and the girls are bedding down.
Zoo tomorrow and then they are hitting the road in the evening so the girls will sleep during the drive. this granddaughter fix will have to last for many months....

Brown Derby.... the ice cream with the hard chocolate.
Nutty Buddies --- dipped and rolled in nuts (sold in mutlpackages) (also called drumsticks)
There's a marble slab up in Bellaire just two blocks away. Darn... and I already finished off the rum raisen....Tomorrow is another day. Marble Slabs are expensive though. Well, if you are Aleta I guess that's fine.
