Mon rein means my kidney in french. Since I taught french at university for my first career and since I live in an allegedly bilingual country (Canada) I came up with monrein.  I usually try to choose a name that has a connection to the site in question so on a gardening forum my name is blacknails for example but people here might think that was some rare side effect of CKD.  I'd hate to cause anyone to panic.  :)

WillowRidge is the name of the kennel where I got my Rhodesian Ridgeback and 87 was the number of my favorite Denver Bronco, Ed McCaffery!

In Greek Pelagia means “of the sea," which is why I chose the name since I have spent my entire life enjoying or studying oceans, bays and estuaries.

Interestingly, there are at least two Saint Pelagias - one was a virgin and legend has it that the other started out as a prostitute and was later converted.  But, I am definitely not a saint.  Perhaps there is still time...   :rofl;

On yahoo I am maskedchipolata which comes from the idea I had when I was a kid to breed rottweillers and they were going to be the Chipolata series  - Rebeccas riding chipolata, Rebeccas flying chipolata, etc . But I thought maybe I should be a bit more lady like and use kittylee... But you can call me Iris ha ha

When my kids were little, (there all grown now), I used to say, with anger"just look at my face" whenever they had done something wrong.  They knew I was pissed.  I said it one time to my youngest, and he was only 4, we had just watched "one flew over the Cookoos Nest".  He said "you look like NuresWratchet" !  I was not a nurse at the time, but it stuck ever since...  :cheer:

Visiting a local Renaissance Festival we were told that three things were needed to be a wench....a quick wit, a sharp tongue and cleavage.  I became Wenchie that day to my friends and it's stuck for many years.  1958 is the year I was hatched!  And no, I won't bring you a pint unless you say please!  :beer1;

Hmm thought I did this one.

Mine has nothing fancy to it's meaning, it's just my name. My other nickname I use online people think I sleep a lot or that I am of American Indian decent. Well I am, just a very small part from my grandfather.

I got a computer for Christmas several years ago.
Set up the computer in January.
I live in Alaska.  We had a high pressure block of
cold cold air.  It was minus 30 or so for a few weeks.
Looking out the window,
I was thinking it would be nice to have a breezy summer day.
