I have another thread going about the big scare i had the other night , the next day i sent a txt to my 'best friend' telling her what had happened and saying did she want to call round for a coffee (she lives 5 mins walk away) Her reply was sorry no time and that was it .Today she has surpassed herself , i got a txt at dinnertime saying 'fancy going for a few drinks tonight' wtf ? After telling her all that happened she thinks i want to go drinking ..priceless !!!

Well girl, you've got to laugh just so you won't scream.  Denial isn't just for patients is it.?  I think sometimes people listen with their ears dead shut because it's easier.  Sure is frustrating though.

Pyelonephritis (began at 8 mos old)
Home haemo 1980-1985 (self-cannulated with 15 gauge sharps)
Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

Wish I was a 5 minute walk from you!  I would come over and we would just sit and visit.  Talk about the weather, price of food, our families.  My best friend is the same way right now. Her life is so busy with work, etc.  I can't keep up and hate going to the mall shopping.   I am sorry your friend is being so inconsiderate.   :cuddle;
