I am averaging five to six hours of sleep at the nocturnal center where I am. I get Benadryl before going to sleep and it cuts out the part of my brain that goes and goes becasue of the noise in the center. 


Do you feel better now you are on nocturnal? I feel the difference like night and day.

I'm back on days because there are idiots for staff on the night shift.  I can really feel the difference.  The same old foggy thinking after dialysis.  The need to just sleep for 3 hours. BP is high again and I can't remember to take my binders. I would like to go back to nocturnal after the "situation" gets taken care of.

Are those of you on nocturnal dialysis being picked up when you leave, or can you drive yourself home?

Hubby comes and gets me. Lucky me. I am sure he would love for me to take and bring myself home, but he worries about the effects dialysis has on me some nights.

Won't they run you longer and slower, maybe five hours during the day or six and see how you feel?  At least until d and d are gone?

Actually during the day 4 hours is plenty to sit there when I have things to do and I just got up from a nights sleep.  No, the point of Nocturnal is the multi-tasking that I like.  Dialyze while you sleep (and you would be sleeping anyway).

i am doing so well i can drive myself. i'm off all blood pressure meds and no longer use binders.
