Guess Boxman and OB will be dancing in Chicago instead of me and OB. Why does this always happen to me? Boxman I'm only two hours from you if you need anything please call. Take care Buddy.

I thought about what I would decide if I had to make this decision, Boxman. I too, have poor circulation and have dealt with a few infections on my feet before. As a result of the nerve damage, I have no feeling below my knees. I know it is only a matter of time that I may have to deal with amputation. I would most likely want to have a prosthetic if this were my decision. I shall be praying for you in this time of healing... It sucks the big fat one that this is happening. I feel devastated for you. You are a strong man, and this big bump in your journey will make you much more stronger! Stay cool cooly cat.

Boxman, I am so sorry you have to deal with this. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers until you let us know how things have gone, and after that as you recover, of course!

Boxman...you're in my thoughts today. It's unfair that we are so often presented two equally lousy choices, but know you aren't alone though this. Stay positive and stay strong and know we're all with you.

I'm thinking of you Boxman, although you are probably not reading this today as it is the day of your decision. You will get through this, we are all here for you and saying prayers for you. The people on here are such a caring group, you know we will do what we can to help carry you through, sometimes that is only possible through thought and prayer as we are so widespread. Sending love your way.

Well I called 4 times today with no call back. It really sucks to make a call to have your leg amputated and get no return call. The last time I called at 5:30 I was told to call back tomorrow. What a bunch of shit...Boxman

Oh, Boxman, I'm a little late learning about what you're going through now. Good grief. I can't tell you how sorry I am that you're having to deal with this. Wish I had some magical words of wisdom. I don't. As everybody else has said, though, you're in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that helps a little.

That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.

Well I decided to call the first surgeon I dealt with who did my toe amps along with the new one down at St Lukes where I had the hyperbaric treatment (he was the one with no call back yesterday). Well they both called this morning and I have an appt at 2:30 today with my toe surgeon and the other guys nurse is suppose to call me back with their schedule. It sounds confusing, but the hospital that my toe surgeon works out of is closer to home then the other. Which would help my family and friends so I am leaning to switch and go back to my original surgeon. I will have schedules later today I think...Boxman Hope this makes sense

glad to hear you at least got to talk to someone. maybe things will start to move forward. although i'm sure it still isn't easy. personally i think i'd go with the doctor you had previous experience with. the hospital being closer to home can't hurt. just remember we're all pulling for you, you are very important to all of us.
