Not sure if a pharmacuetical comany has been working on it, but as of Saturday or Friday (Do not have newsletter in front of me) Astellas the maker of Prograf has had their patent on the drug expire. This allows for generic versions to be made. So if ou want to stay with name brand, make sure your doctor marks your prescription Do Not Substitue. I hope the new med is the same size, not like the generic Norvasc I was given. That pill was a horse sized pill! Made my doc prescibe Norvasc as a no substitue and gladly pay an extra $5.00.

I take generic Norvasc and my pills are very tiny, less than half the size of regular Norvasc. I had a $30 copay for Norvasc, $10 for the generic.

1.Shoot!! I didn't spell check my topic! >:(

2. Flip, they substituted Niefedipine for me. I am on 5 mg of Norvas and Niefedipine was 60 mg to equal the 5 mg of Norvasc. I didn't have a co-pay on Niefedipine, but with other medications to take in the morning, easy to swallow pills are a must. So my co-pay is worth paying.

I'll wait on trying a generic anti rejection med till I hear and know more about it to make an informed decision on whether to take it or not. Do not need to experience any new side effect during school. Plus
