Have you ever eaten fiddleheads?
BTW Monrein there are no pickerel in Ontario. That is one of my biggest pet peeves as a fisherman from the Bay of Quinte area. Everyone I know says it to bug me lol

Sorry to interrupt the thread. Uniballer, there is indeed pickerel or walleye in Ontario and I've eaten it in quantity up north of Pickle Lake. I've canoed very remote rivers and there are also fly-in fish camps (annoying for a canoeist) but good fishing. Check out www.walleyeheaven.comIt's my favorite fish to eat.

guilty ever had a cheesy moustache? Monrein...... Pickerel is part of the pike family. I used to fish for pickerel when I lived in NB. Its a very common misconception that pickerel and walleye are the same thing due to misinformation mainly due to stupid fishing show hosts like Bob Izumi http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=A1ARTA0006280
