Me running on 8th April 2008 (life goes on)

« on: April 01, 2008, 05:26:44 AM »

Hi, my name is Bryce I’m new to the site after finding it whilst looking for another site. I found out I had problems with my kidneys four years ago when found myself feeling tired all the and being sick during exercise and then my ankles stared swelling up, this when I decided it was time to go to the doctors. After eventually having a urine sample analyzed I was admitted into hospital due to me having a lot of protein in my sample. At first the doctors were unsure to what was causing my kidney problems so they performed a biopsy on my kidneys, the results of which showed I have a kidney disease called MPGN type2, (a rare genetic, but not hereditary disease). For two years my kidneys were able to hold on without any further deterioration, until I caught a very bad cold virus which sent my kidneys into a quick decline. I ended up going onto overnight peritoneal dialysis in April 2007.
About myself, I’m 38 years old, male, I enjoy running and still train three to four times a week, I still work but I now do office work on days instead of production work on shifts, I have a 16 year old son who is studying at collage (I am separated from his mum) and I have a girlfriend called Kathryn who I have been dating for three years.

I dunno, it's pretty rough. First there's the part where you have to get on your knees and say "Doctors are not God," a hundred times  :bow; :bow;. And then there's the part where they make you use spellcheck.
