I just stumbled across this site and thought it looked great. I've been active on some of the other forums so I'm probably not a stranger to many of you.

I have ESRD caused by hypertension. I do in-center hemo and don't really have any problems with it. I've never really considered another modality or a transplant. I still do everything I did before and my seat time passes quickly.

Anyway, thanks for letting me join this group. I hope to be both informative and entertaining.

Its great that you joined.  I like that fact that you "do everything that you did before".  Do you still work?  I'm not there yet so I don't really know what its like but its seems that you are handling it well.    :canadaflag;

No, I don't really work anymore although I do have some hobbies that produce income. I'm also on Social Security Disability and I consider that my job. If you take the amount of my check and divide it by the number of hours I spend in the dialysis center, I'm making about $35/hr. just to sit in a recliner while watching TV and surfing the internet. I guess it's just my hillbilly way of thinking.

Actually, I think my email address was the culprit.

I really like this site so far. Sorry, I waited so long for ESRD.

Flip Wilson was really funny. When I was a kid I loved when he dressed up as Geraldine and said, “The devil made me do it!”

Glad you could join us Flip!

I had the name before he became popular. My given name is Philip but my little bother couldn't pronounce it and it came out as "flip".
